A bill that will legally define milk in Virginia has passed two chambers of the general assembly. The bill, that is titled "House Bill 119", would prohibit plant-based milk products to call themselves milk. The bill passed 24-16 on Friday in the state senate, and originally passed through the House of Delegates in January. It would need final approval from Governor Ralph Northam before becoming a law.
