![]() The U.S. Department of Labor reports that there were 58,910 new unemployment claims filed in Tennessee and Virginia last week. There were 33,069 new claims filed in Virginia during the week ending on July 4, which is a slight increase from the week before. According to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, there were 25,843 new claims filed in the state last week, which is the third week in a row that Tennessee has had an increase in claims. There were 1,220 new claims filed in Northeast Tennessee. There have been 691,898 unemployment claims filed in Tennessee since March 15. Comments are closed.
