BLUECROSS BLUESHIELD OF TENNESSEE ANNOUNCES THAT THEY WILL COVER THE FULL TREATMENT COST FOR COVID-19

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is covering the full treatment cost for COVID-19. The company announced Thursday its offering to cover the expenses for testing, treatment, and hospitalizations through May 31. The benefit is available for BlueCross members in fully insured group, individual, Medicare advantage, and BlueCare Tennessee plans. BlueCross will encourage its self-funded employer group customers to participate in waiving cost sharing for COVID-19 treatments for their employees during this health crisis. Members won't be responsible for out-of-pocket costs during this time. BlueCross is also giving back with a $3.25 million donation to food banks across Tennessee.
