CARTER COUNTY PLANE CRASH CAUSED BY INCLEMENT WEATHER, ACCORDING TO THE PILOT

The pilot in a small plane crash in Carter County, Tennessee on Saturday says that the cause was inclement weather. 24-year-old Luis Andrade was the pilot that crashed on Iron Mountain and he says that he was alerted to inclement weather in the area and attempted to pull the plane up to miss the weather, but was unsuccessful. Andrade had departed the Morristown, Tennessee airport and was heading to Newport News, Virginia. He also had a friend with him as a passenger. Both men appeared to not have a scratch on them. At 6:30 p.m. on Saturday the FAA released a statement saying that the crash happened in the Cherokee National Forest near Doeville at approximately 9 a.m. they also said that they will investigate and the NTSB will determine the probable cause of the accident.
