Charges have been dismissed against one of the four men charged in connection to a 2017 shooting of a pregnant woman in Johnson City. Avios Griffin's murder charges were dropped on Monday due to a lack of evidence. He and three other men, Monte Brewer, Eugene Glover, and Isiah Milligan, are charged in the murder of Rebecca Thompson in 2017. Thompson was found shot to death in her vehicle in a public housing complex parking lot off of John Exum Parkway. She was seven weeks pregnant at the time and her infant daughter was in the backseat of the vehicle. The other three suspects will appear in court in 2021, with Brewer on January 6 and Glover and Milligan's trials are set to begin on April 20 with a motions hearing set for January 15.
