 A person has been arrested in Washington County after a body was burned in a storage unit on Saturday. At 3:30 p.m., multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire at Glade Spring Mini Storage off exit 29. Firefighters discovered a body in one of the units. Washington County's Sheriff's Office and Commonwealth Attorney were dispatched to the scene as was Virginia State Police. The body was 46-year-old Walter Brian Lampkins of Glade Spring. The WCSO arrested 46-year-old Kelly Goff with abduction and murder. Goff and Lampkins once lived together and had a child together. The investigation has found that Goff locked Lampkins inside the unit so he would have no way out when the fire started spreading through the units and killing him. According to Washington County Sheriff, Blake Andis, Lampkins was living in the storage unit and Goff worked next door at a motel. The firefighters were on the scene for several hours putting out the fire after it had spread to other units, approximately 25 units were affected.
