![]() Hawkins County deputies defuse two bombs found under a home. A resident was checking wiring under his newly purchased home when he found a drill case. Two homemade explosives wrapped in plastic were found in the case. Deputies from the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, identified a small metal pipe bomb, complete with a red fuse, and a large metal container. The Morristown Bomb Squad was alerted and the second bomb was identified as a "shake bomb," which the military reportedly uses for armored vehicles, both bombs were x-rayed, taken to an adjacent field, and were detonated. The remnants were taken for analysis by the Morristown Bomb Squad. Comments are closed.
