HAWKINS COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER CALLING 911 MULTIPLE TIMES SAYING THAT A COUNTRY MUSIC STAR WAS TRYING TO KILL HER
A Hawkins County woman has been charged after repeatedly calling 911 and saying that country music star Blake Shelton was trying to kill her. The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies were called to a camper in the 1000 block of Robbins Lane after receiving a 911 call from 48-year-old Mary Myers, who had asked for a helicopter. The report says when deputies arrived, they found Myers with severely slurred speech, unsteady feet, and smelling of alcohol. The HCSO reports that she told deputies that she had called 911 because Blake Shelton was trying to kill her, and that there was a man in the woods with a knife. Myers also told deputies that she and country music star Eric Church were dating and that country music legend Dolly Parton was flying to see her that night. Myers called deputies to the lot multiple times on Saturday. Deputies reported that there was nobody around the camper or anything that would cause immediate danger to her, but an open bottle of vodka was on her table. Myers was charged with misuse of 911 and transported to the Hawkins County Jail.
