JOHNSON CITY MAN CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC ASSAULT AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF KNOCKING A JUVENILE UNCONSCIOUS

A Johnson City man is accused of knocking a juvenile unconscious and was charged with domestic assault. The Johnson City Police Department was called to the 600 block of Jackson Avenue on Thursday night and upon arrival officers found 39-year-old Mumit Q. Williams angry at his family. Williams had assaulted his two juvenile stepsons and another juvenile. One of the juveniles was knocked unconscious and required medical treatment and the other two juveniles had minor injuries. Williams left after making threats to return with a gun. Officers found him a short distance away and took him away and tok him into custody. Williams was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and one county of simple domestic assault and is being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
