![]() A Norton woman has been sentenced on child abuse and drug charges. 32-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Bledsoe was sentenced to three months in jail and four years and nine months of supervised probation on each of three charges, child abuse and neglect, possession of ecstasy, and possession of methamphetamine. Bledsoe was found guilty in April of involuntary manslaughter, abuse and drug possession charges. A manslaughter charge related to the death of month-old Liam Bledsoe was dismissed. She woke up on April 21, 2020 to find her son non-responsive after she fell asleep with her daughter and the infant in bed with her. An autopsy found the baby died from sudden unexplained infant death. The state medical examiner testified that Liam's placement in an adult bed with bedclothes could have led to an obstructed airway and his asphyxiation. Comments are closed.
