One person is dead after three people were shot in Wise County. Early Monday morning, Wise County deputies found a woman who had been shot in the back inside a car at the end of Limestone Road in a cemetery behind the Stephens Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was taken to a trauma center in Tennessee where she is undergoing treatment and is in stable condition. The investigators also found two more people with gunshot wounds, one of whom was dead. The deceased was identified as 39-year-old Christopher Dale Stevens of Norton. The other person was William Mattias Mills and he was also taken to a trauma center for multiple gunshot wounds but has already been released. Mills said that the female took him to a secluded area where someone pulled open the driver's side door and shot at him, he was able to flee the car and hide in the woods. 39-year-old Jarred Ray Hash (pictured) of Norton was questioned by investigators on Monday, and he said he was one of four people who went to the cemetery. He also corroborated Mills' story that the woman brought Mills. Hash said he also hid in the woods until he heard gunshots, and he then fired his weapon multiple times at Mills. Hash was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and is being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield. Mills is now being held in a jail in Tennessee on fugitive charges from Virginia and is awaiting extradition. The Wise County Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing.
