A Pulaski County, Kentucky man was shot during a standoff with police. Kentucky State Police were called to a home on Smith Ridge Spur in Eubank after Pulaski County deputies reported a man firing shots at one of their vehicles. A man had called the deputies saying that 51-year-old Charles Wilson shot at him when he tried returning a lost dog to the home. An hours-long standoff began between Wilson and officers, which ended with shots being fired and Wilson being hit by the state police's special response team. He was taken to UK Hospital and has been released. Wilson is now facing several charges including attempted murder and wanton endangerment. The man who brought the dog home and called police received non-life-threatening injuries and no officers were injured in the standoff.
