SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA ELECTIONS

Some Southwest Virginia towns had local elections on Tuesday, May 19.
In Appalachia, Johnny Chandler, Chris Williams, and Eddie Gollaway were elected to the town council.
In Coeburn, Jeffrey Kiser, Joe Still, and Carles Collins were elected to the town council.
In Pound, Marley Green, Clifton Cauthorne Jr., and Glenn Cantrell were elected to the town council.
In St. Paul, Josh Sawyers, J.Tim Boardwine, and Samuel Jordan were elected to the town council and Ken Holbrook was elected mayor.
In Gate City, Bob Richards was elected mayor. He defeated Frances Perry by nine votes.
