TAZEWELL COUNTY IS TALKING ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF SECEDING FROM VIRGINIA TO BECOME PART OF WEST VIRGINIA
A Southwest Virginia county is looking at the possibility of taking the state of West Virginia up on its offer to secede from Virginia. Tazewell County's Board of Supervisors discussed the idea on Tuesday night during their public hearing. The proposal is just in the discussion phase for the time being. The proposal is titled, Vexit, which is to have Virginia communities that are unhappy with the state government to secede and become part of West Virginia. If Tazewell County or any other county does decide to try and secede from the Commonwealth, they would need approval from both state legislators, governors, the United States Congress, and President Trump.
