Two bodies have been recovered after days of searching for missing swimmers on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Crews picked something up on sonar Sunday evening and a robot was used to help recover the two bodies late that night and into Monday morning. The bodies were transferred to the Russell County Coroner for identification and autopsy. The two swimmers were international male students in their 20's and the families had been notified through the embassies. The two swimmers went missing on June 5 after the two men were in a group of four that were swimming when their houseboat drifted away. The other two swimmers were picked up by another boat. Searchers had been on the water every day since but was never able to find them until the use of sonar. Teams from Russell, Wayne, Boone, Barren, and Pulaski counties aided in the search. Flyers were passed out to visitors at the lake seeking volunteers for the search effort.
