 UVA Wise will host Southwest Virginia Economic Forum next Wednesday. This year's forum will be the seventh time the University has hosted and this year the Hard Rock Bristol Hotel and Casino will be the main attraction. A panel of experts will talk about the new casino, along with another panel with business leaders and owners discussing how the region is gearing up for the casino's temporary grand opening in July. The event will be at the David J. Prior Convocation Center on May 25 at 8 p.m. The forum costs $20 to attend virtually and $40 to attend in person.
