VIRGINIA'S, FRIDAY, APRIL 3, COVID-19 UPDATE

The Virginia Department of Health reports that there are now 2,012 cases of the coronavirus in the state. 46 people have died in the Commonwealth, 312 people have been hospitalized, and 19,005 people have been tested. There are now a reported 11 cases in Southwest Virginia, three in Washington County, two each in Lee, Smyth, and Tazewell County, and one in the City of Bristol. In this morning's report the VDH reported that Wise County had its first confirmed case, but the Lenowisco Health Department says that the case was meant to be entered as a Winchester County case. It will be corrected in the VDH's Saturday report.
